I am a huge fan of the NFL, but I do not live in or around the city of my favorite team. Therefore I would always end up missing my team play because it wasn't broadcast where I was. My options were to go out to some rowdy, loud, bar and spend a bunch of money on beer and food to watch my team on some small TV in the corner, or order one of those expensive Packages that includes every game. I don't want, nor do I need all of these games. I am able to sit right at home on my couch, or anywhere I felt like bringing my PC to. After reviewing numerous products stating they could deliver these services, I found all but one had some major catches. To check out what they have to offer, follow the link. There's no harm in looking! Satellite TV for your PC

Best LIVE Satellite TV/Radio for Your PC

Are you looking for the best website for watching 1000s of Satellite TV/Radio stations from all around the globe right on your PC? If yes, I've an answer for you. I've purchased a few online TV packages and this is the best site (SatelliteTVtoPC.com) that I recommend for watching more than 3000 quality Satellite TV stations right on your PC with a wide range of selections at the cheapest onetime price.

First of all, you don't need any special/extra hardware or equipment such as TV card or Satellite Receiver to use this service. As soon as signup was done, I got a link to the download site via email to download their software for LIVE broadcasts. I was able to watch worldwide TV stations instantly after installing the software. The picture resolution and sound quality are good. The software is neatly arranged with user-friendly menu options for easy navigation. It provides thousands of TV (3000+) stations and as well as major Radio stations from around the globe.

For instance, if you want to watch LIVE Game broadcasts, you don't need expensive Satellite or Pay-Per-View service anymore. You can watch all of them including their local commercials for FREE in your PC, which we think is the greatest feature. None of the channels are pre-recorded and all of them are LIVE stream videos from the fastest servers in their network. If you're a great Jazz fan, you got all Jazz Radio stations around the world including major US Jazz stations in one place.

The TV/Radio channels are arranged by country names and selecting a specific country's TV stations is very straightforward. I like the stations especially from UK, Canada, Australia, and of course US channels including News, Shopping, Sports, Weather, Movies, Music & much more. If you're a world traveler don't want to miss your home favorite channels, this is the best software for you. All you need is your Laptop, this software and of course internet connection.

Satellite Television: Offering BabyFirst TV

Dish Network Satellite TV is known for its huge programming selection. From over 32 high definition selections, movie channels, family oriented packages, and news programming to Sirius Satellite radio stations, sports packages, gaming, and much more the options are vast. In the past several months Dish Network has also added new programming options that are equally exciting to certain niche audiences. One option that will be of interest to new parents is BabyFirst TV.

BabyFirst TV is actually the first channel in the United States that is directed specifically toward babies, ages 6 months to 3 years of age, and their parents. The interactive and educational programs provide parents opportunities to engage their young children in learning activities for math, language, sensory, and social skills. The 24/7 commercial free programming offered, actively engages younger children during the daytime and provides more soothing experiences at nighttime. Programming content categories include Thinking Journey, Language Playground, Imagination Lane, Feelings Garden, Numbers Parade, Sensory Wonderland, and Rainbow Dreams. Approximately 80% of the programming is original content and includes shows such as "Brainy Baby", "First Impressions", and "So Smart!" in addition to "Story Time" which features adaptations of many children's books from Sterling Publishers.

In addition to child focused shows, many offerings include programming useful for parents. These 15 minute segments provide information about parenting children in the early stages of development. Longer, on demand offerings are also available to provide advice and tips as well and include shows such as "Baby Basics", "Family Wellness", and "Baby Diaries". Although all programming is in English, BabyFirst TV plans to offer programming in other languages, such as Spanish, in the near future.

BabyFirst TV offers incomparable learning and entertainment value for very young children and their parents. In addition, the programming comes at an affordable price. At $9.99 per month, this full time programming costs no more than the purchase of a single DVD for a child each month. Dish Network Satellite TV now offers BabyFirst TV as an ala carte option to allow parents the greatest flexibility in getting the programming they prefer.

FREE Satellite TV Offers - What Need To Know

What you should know about FREE Satellite TV Offers
You see them almost every day. Ads for FREE 4-room DirecTV, or FREE Dish Network DVR, Next day installation, order now to get your FREE home theater. We have prepared some helpful information to help you select the right retailer for your FREE satellite TV system.

Before you can select the right retailer, you need to know a little about how the retailer networks operate. Some retailers purchase equipment from distributors, then install it at no cost. In exchange for signing up a NEW customer, the Platform provider (Directv or the Dish Network) pay the retailer a sales commission, installation reimbursement and a payment to cover the cost of the equipment. These retailers are commonly called Satellite Independent Retailers (SIR's).

The other type of retailer, is one that does not buy or stock equipment. These retailers only provide DirecTV or the Dish Network with your information. From that point on, you are no longer dealing with the company you choose to give your business. Regardless of the size of the store, or their reputation, you are passed on in exchange for a commission only payment.

All Retailers offer the same FREE promotions.
Regardless of who you call, those free movie channels for 90 days promotions and FREE DVR's are available from any retailer. All retailers can offer the same deals. The Platform provider establishes the promotions for the retailers. The only exception are those FREE DVD Players, Home Theaters, and other non satellite merchandise give aways. Those retailers are paying for those items from the sales commissions they expect to receive for signing a new customer. Those items rarely have a value worth more then $50. In some cases you have to wait 6 months, and then follow a series of procedures to actually get your equipment. When you do receive your free item, you will often discover that it is a re-manufactured item that falls far short of your expectations.

How do you know which retailer to trust? The only real difference from one retailer to the next is the installation and service after-the-sale they provide. Both DirecTV and the Dish Network maintain "In-House" Installation networks. These In-House operations are actually a network of contracted companies who provide installations to large territories. DirecTV use their Home Service Provider Network (HSP) and Master Service Providers (MSP) while the Dish Network uses a multi-tier network which forms the Dish Network Service Corporation (DNSC). The primary issue with these large multi-state companies are delays in scheduling and the ability of these installers to provide custom installations. Many are only allowed to install to specific guidelines, which often leads to dishes being installed in less the most desirable locations.

So who do you call?
Call a local Satellite Independent Retailer (SIR) who provides custom installations, and will not only tell you the name of your installer before you sign up, but may actually let you talk to them before you sign up, if you have questions about your installation.

Should you need service help or just have a question, a local independent retailer and service technician are a phone call away. With a SIR, you are more then a commission or just another install, you become a customer. SIR's can provide you those same FREE satellite deals and provide you the customer service you deserve.

Satellite television can support over 250 channels of programming. All channels are digital quality and offer HD (high definition) television services that are compatible to your satellite TV service.

Satellite television fees for Dish Network start at $31.99/month, while DirecTV charges $41.99/month. Both satellite television providers offer free satellite TV equipment and free installation in up to four rooms.

Cable television fees average $39.99/month for 64 channels, plus $10.95/month to add digital channels. Installation in one room is $39.95, plus $9.95 for each additional room.

Satellite television offers the biggest variety of shows, movies, sports, and news for the least amount of money. You can watch all your shows in digital video and sound with the option of watching them in HD format and recording them on a DVR (digital video recording) receiver.

Cable television outages average 3% to 5% per year while satellite television outages average about 1%. J.D. Power and Associates ranked Dish Network and DirecTV -- higher in customer satisfaction than any of the cable television companies for the last five years.

Satellite TV Service -- Is DirecTV Or Dish Network Better?

Since the demise of Pegasus and VOOM, there are just two satellite TV service providers battling it out for the top spot -- DIRECTV and DISH Network.

Both companies provide excellent service, all-digital broadcast quality, and great customer service. The main difference between the two companies is the programming they provide.

How Satellite TV Service Works

Satellite TV providers such as DIRECTV and DISH Network send a broadcast signal carrying television programming to a satellite orbiting above the earth. The Satellite then broadcasts the signal back down to earth.

This signal is picked up by a satellite TV dish then transmitted to a receiver where it is amplified and sent to a TV screen.

Benefits of Satellite TV Service

* Satellite TV is broadcast in all-digital format, providing the highest quality picture and sound available.

* Satellite TV gives you access to hundreds of different programs, pay-per-view movies, special events, and commercial-free music channels.

* Satellite TV utilizes DVR (digital video recording) receivers so you can record your favorite programs and bypass commercials while watching live TV.

* Satellite TV is much more reliable than cable or over-the-air TV. Broadcast outages average only 1% as opposed to 3%-5% for cable.

Satellite TV Services

DIRECTV

DIRECTV was launched in 1994 and was the first DBS (direct broadcast satellite) service in the world. It is currently the largest satellite TV provider with 14.5 million subscribers. It is ranked #2 in customer satisfaction by J.D. Power and Associates.

DIRECTV offers more than 225 channels of programming, including movie channels, music channels, pay-per-view movies and events, sports packages, and international programming.

DIRECTV has the most sports program packages, including NFL Sunday Ticket.

When you order DIRECTV programming, the system -- satellite TV dish and receivers -- is free for up to four rooms. Installation is also free.

Program packages start at $41.99 a month for 135 channels (which includes 31 music channels), plus HBO, Showtime, and Starz.

Note: To find out about DIRECTV's latest special offers and free bonuses, click on the links at the bottom of this article.

DISH Network

DISH Network was launched in 1996 and is the second-largest satellite TV provider with more than 12 million subscribers. It is ranked #1 in customer satisfaction by J.D. Power and Associates.

DISH Network offers more than 255 channels of programming, including movie channels, music channels, pay-per-view movies and events, sports packages, and international programming.

Dish Network has the biggest variety of movies and shows and the most HD (high definition) programming.

When you order DISH Network programming, the system -- satellite TV dish, receivers, and installation -- is free for up to four rooms.

Program packages start at $31.99 a month for 60 channels plus HBO, Showtime, and Cinemax.

Note: To find out about DISH Network's latest special offers and free bonuses, click on the links at the bottom of this article.

Bottom Line

If you're a sports fan and want the most sports packages -- including the popular NFL Sunday Ticket which allows you to watch almost all the NFL football games -- then DIRECTV is the way to go.

If you're a movie buff and want the biggest variety of movies and shows, and the most HD (high definition) programming, then Dish Network is what you're looking for.: Brian Stevens is a professional freelance writer and webmaster who has written extensively on satellite TV deals.
