With over 3000 channels from all over the world, including Argentina, Belgium, China, Cuba, Egypt, Finland, France, and so many more, you will be able to broaden your television horizons. I am a huge fan of the NFL, but I do not live in or around the city of my favorite team. Therefore I would always end up missing my team play because it wasn't broadcast where I was. My options were to go out to some rowdy, loud, bar and spend a bunch of money on beer and food to watch my team on some small TV in the corner, or order one of those expensive Packages that includes every game. I don't want, nor do I need all of these games. I am able to sit right at home on my couch, or anywhere I felt like bringing my PC to. After reviewing numerous products stating they could deliver these services, I found all but one had some major catches. To check out what they have to offer, follow the link. There's no harm in looking! Satellite TV for your PC

I am currently recieving my Master's in Finance at U of MD, College Park. I also review software that I have purchased throught the years

Cable and Satellite TV-Tips To Help You Make The Best Choice

As time goes by, the discussion of cable vs satellite TV continues as a neverending dispute. The deep pockets of each side fuels the flames showing that one is better than the other. To discover which option is best for you, you must go past the hype and focus on what you genuinely require.

If you're trying to decide if digital cable or satellite TV is the best choice for you, you'll have to do some detective work to see how the advantages and disadvantages weigh out and compare against one another. Some individuals will prefer satellite television over cable television, and vice versa. The right choice for you really depends on your wants and needs and what you're most definately looking for. There are a couple of different things for you to consider, such as what options are available, the picture quality, the various control features and options, specific deals and programs, and how the price compares.

The soaring competition between cable and satellite TV has actually been an advantage for the consumers. Satellite and cable TV vendors and companies battle with lower costs, better promotions, more programming choices, more affordable installation, better and affordable equipment, special introductory discounts, and more. When you're thinking about cable vs satellite TV and you can't decide, the best thing to do is look at which specials are being offered where you live for both providers, and then compare them against each other. You may even want to make some phone calls and let the satellite and cable providers acknowledge that you're shopping, looking for deals, and that you can't decide which provider to use. You may find better specials than were originally advertised.

Basically, satellite television offers more quality programing options than cable TV, but getting more high end options also raises the monthly fees. In addition, satellite TV may have more control choices than cable TV, but satellite TV can often be more difficult to install. The availability of either satellite or cable television will also vary quite a bit depending on the location you reside in.

Are Today's Leading Satellite Companies Loosing Their Grasp On The Future Of Satellite TV?

Until recently the leaders of the satellite industry thought they knew where the future of satellite TV was heading. That was until an underdog software designer came up with Satellite TV For PC. The type of service that Satellite TV For PC offers is putting a new curve on what people recently thought was the future of satellite TV.

This software allows the public to view channels that are streamed from around the globe directly to your PC through your internet connection. Unlike traditional satellite TV service Satellite TV For PC requires no dishes or receivers and can be used virtually anywhere in the world.

Users of the software can watch their favorite sports, news, movies, music, kids channels and more directly on their PC or TV via the Internet. The wide variety of satellite channels provided are streamed through the internet from over seventy countries around the world and in over eight different languages. This is something that no other satellite TV company in the world provides.

This was an unexpected turn in the way viewers receive their satellite TV service. Users of Satellite TV For PC all around the world are given a new and unique kind of viewing experience. Until now no company has ever provided viewers with the option to watch what is being broadcast on television stations from other countries such as Iraq and Kuwait.

When we asked Terry Brazil, Guru Of Info's leading satellite TV specialist what he thought, he had this to say:

"It has been a long time coming since something this exciting has happened to the way we view satellite TV. The only real innovation we have recently seen is the release of High Definition television sets. HD however is expensive and still not provided through out the world.

Satellite TV For PC provides the world with something unique to the satellite market that was never thought of. It is great to see the satellite industry move forward and come out with great new products and services.

However this is just the tip of the iceberg. You can almost guarantee that many other companies will quickly follow suit and produce their own versions of this flavor of software."

This new internet trend really needs no explanation for why it took off so fast. It is no wonder people every where are taking advantage of this pay once and watch forever product.

DIRECTV Satellite TV Receivers - Standard, DVR, and HD Receivers Reviewed

Free DIRECTV Satellite TV Receivers

In an effort to draw customers away from its competitors, DIRECTV will give you a complete satellite TV system - a satellite TV dish and up to four satellite TV receivers - when you subscribe to their service. Here's a review of the various types of standard, DVR, and HD receivers they offer:

Free Receivers

DIRECTV offers a free standard receiver with the following additional features:

* DIRECTV Active - Your personalized information with updates on local weather, horoscopes, lottery results, and pay-per-view suggestions
* Mini Guide - A small on-screen TV channel guide that shows one channel at a time
* Parental controls - Allows you to restrict the programs your child watches

DIRECTV offers a free DVR receiver that allows you to:

* Digitally record up to 100 hours of programming
* Record two shows at one time
* Pause live TV so you won't miss anything if you answer a phone call or get a snack
* Record one program while you watch another program
* Find TV shows by title, keyword, actor, or channel
* Bookmark the part of a TV show you'd like to come back to at a later time

DIRECTV offers a free HD receiver that features the following:

* High definition reception for the best TV picture available today
* Dolby Digital audio for superior sound

In order to get a DIRECTV receiver you must sign up for DIRECTV satellite TV service. Programming packages start at $29.99 for 155 channels and go up to $96.99 for 250 channels.

Note: Programming is 29.99 for the first three months then $41.99 thereafter. Local channels are $3. DVR and HD receivers are free after a $99 mail-in rebate.

Pay-for DIRECTV satellite TV receivers

For an additional $399, you can order a combination HD/DVR that has all the features of an HD receiver and a DVR receiver plus:

* Two-hundred hours of recording time
* Dolby Digital optical audio outputs for the best sound available

Bottom line

If you don't do a lot of TV recording then the standard receiver is all you'll need for satellite TV viewing. If you like to record shows and don't want to hassle with video tapes and VCR settings, the DISH Network DVR receiver is just what the doctor ordered.

If you want to watch satellite TV with the sharpest picture and the clearest sound, an HDTV receiver is what you'll want. And if you want the best of both worlds - best picture, best sound, 200-hour digital recording capability - and you don't mind paying the extra $400, then DIRECTV's HD/DVR is what you're looking for.

DISH Network Satellite TV Receivers - Which One is Best?

DISH Network Satellite TV Receivers

A satellite TV receiver is the electronic box that decodes and sends the satellite signal to your television.

DVR (digital video reorder) satellite TV receivers can also let you record live TV shows, skip through commercials, and pause the show you're watching so you can get a snack or answer the phone.

Here's a review of DISH Network satellite TV receivers:

Free DISH Network Satellite TV Receivers

DISH Network offers two free standard receivers:

* The DISH 311 receiver has one tuner for viewing satellite TV programs on one television.

* The DISH 322 receiver has two tuners for independent TV viewing on two separate televisions.

DISH Network offers one free DVR receiver, the DVR 625, that allows you to:

* Pause and rewind live satellite TV programs
* Record a live TV program while you watch a pre-recorded program
* Record up to 100 hours of your favorite shows, sports events, and movies
* Record two programs simultaneously

DISH Network offers one free HD receiver, the VIP211, that lets you:

* Watch programs in SD (standard definition), HD (high definition), and Analog formats
* Listen to your programs in Dolby Digital format

Note: In order to get a free satellite TV receiver you must subscribe to DISH Network's Programming service. As a subscriber you get up to four free receivers and one satellite dish plus free installation.

DISH Network programming prices start at $19.99 for 40 channels.

Other DISH Network Satellite TV Receivers

Dish Network offers a combination DVR and HD receiver, the VIP622, for $199.99. It allows you to:

* Record to 180 hours of programming in an all-digital format
* Pause, stop, fast forward, and replay TV shows
* Record two TV programs at the same time
* Record a live TV show while watching another live show
* Record two live shows while watching a pre-recorded program
* Watch programs in SD, HD, and Analog formats
* Listen to your programs in Dolby Digital audio

Bottom line

If you want the easiest and most efficient way to record your favorite programs then I suggest getting one of DISH Network's free DVR recorders. If you want the clearest, most lifelike picture, then a free HD receiver is what you need. And if you want the best of both worlds and don't mind spending the extra $200, the combination DVR/HD receiver is just the ticket.

Satellite TV for PC Review

Wow this is awesome! This software is absolutely flawless I have just turned my computer into a super TV. Living alone I see no reason to keep cable one more minute I just cancelled my $75.00/mo service. Great picture quality programs from around the world from one simple software dowload. I mean movies, news, sports. I just finished watching The Matrix commercial free. Once the word gets out on this software cable TV and satellite dish companies are finished. I just hooked up my XBOX 360 and I am now streaming the satellite tv for pc to my television with virtually no difference in picture and sound quality. Even if you decide to keep your traditional satellite or cable tv service this is a must have for any PC owner.

I tried a couple of other versions of the software I am using now a couple months ago and I was not impressed. The software I am using now is the real deal it really is just like watching cable for free. I was amazed to find out this software is completely legal and it is safe for your PC. I recommend this satellite tv for pc to any PC owner. CLICK HERE FOR REVIEWED SOFTWARE

Satellite TV Providers Worried About Consumers Getting Satellite TV Through Their PC's

A new software tool just recently hit the internet called Satellite TV For PC. People every where have been complaining that the prices cable and satellite TV providers charge is unfair, but now they have more options. This one small piece of software allows anybody with an internet connection to view over three thousand satellite TV stations from around the world through the internet on their PC.

Satellite TV For PC has taken the way we use the internet to a new level. Ever since the internet became mainstream it has been changing the way we live. At first it was all about email but then came chatting and several other innovations quickly followed. Now in present times we can do everything from making phone calls to ordering pizza and renting a movie over the internet.

With the new innovation of sending a streaming satellite signal through an internet connection any where in the world directly to your PC is exciting. Consumers will soon not have to worry about how much their local cable or satellite provider charges for service. Instead they will literally have a whole world of choices on where to get their television stations from.

Having no physical connection to a satellite or cable line will also be a good benefit. These satellite TV stations are available where ever there is a computer with the software installed that has a working internet connection.

Experts agree that Satellite TV For PC is just the tip of the ice burg. Now that companies as well as consumers know that this technology is available, products like it will be in very high demand. It would not be a shock to see the big name satellite TV providers like Direct TV and Dish Network start offering similar services for you PC in the near future as well.

Terry Brazil, resident satellite specialist at guruofinfo.com has done research as well as written articles on this subject had this to say:

"A software program like what Satellite TV For PC offers is simply just the starting point. The internet has given us tons of great new innovations on the technical front. The ability to do something like this has been available for years but nobody has just never tried to do it. I am sure that many hardware manufacturers are already planning on releasing products to help make watching this new service on their TV's easier for consumers.

Now that technology like this has been proven to work everybody will be wanting a piece of the pie. You can bet your bottom dollar that we will see similar companies and products hitting the market before the end of this year. I believe that the bigger companies like Direct TV and Dish Network will also have to release their versions of this kind of software so they can try to stay competitive in the satellite TV market"

DISH Network Satellite TV Dealers - Which One Has the Best Deal?

DISH Network Satellite TV Dealers

Satellite TV is one of the hottest online products on the market today, and because of that a number of DISH Network dealers have set up shop on the Internet to sell satellite TV services.

But how do you know which dealers are reputable, and which dealer will give you the best price and the best service? I spent a number of hours researching DISH Network satellite TV dealers for The Satellite TV Guide and found three that stand head and shoulders above the rest.

Here's my review of the top three DISH Network satellite TV dealers so you can compare dealers and decide for yourself.

Allsat (Highly Recommended)

Allsat was established in 1995, when DISH Network first started broadcasting it's satellite TV programming. It began as a brick and mortar satellite TV store, then went online in 1997.

Independently owned and operated, Allsat is one of the oldest and most respected satellite TV dealers. They've installed hundreds of thousands of satellite TV systems across the U.S. I found their prices and service to be second to none.

Allsat currently offers:

* A free DISH Network satellite dish * Up to four free receivers plus universal remotes * Free professional installation * Free 100-hour DVR (digital video recording) receivers * Free HD (high definition) receivers * Three free months of HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, or Starz * 24/7 customer service * Lifetime equipment warranty * Thirty-day money-back guarantee

VMC Satellite

VMC is one of the largest and most well known online satellite TV dealers in the U.S. They installed the satellite TV system in the U.S. Capitol building. VMC is responsible for signing up more than 2% of DISH Networks subscribers.

VMC currently offers:

* A free 4-room satellite TV system * Free professional installation * Free digital video recorders * Free HDTV receivers (optional) * Three months of HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, or Starz for free * 24/7 customer service * Lifetime equipment warranty

Sterling Satellite

Sterling Satellite was founded in 2003 and is currently a DISH Network Top 10 satellite TV dealer. Their primary emphasis is on customer service.

Sterling currently offers:

* A free 4-room satellite TV system * Free professional installation of that system * Free digital video recorders * Free HDTV receivers (optional) * Three free months of HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, or Starz * 24/7 customer service * Lifetime equipment warranty * 125% money-back guarantee

Note: DISH Network programming prices start at $19.99 for the 40-channel Dish Family package and go up to $74.99 for the 350 channel "Everything" package.

Best LIVE Satellite TV/Radio for Your PC

Are you looking for the best website for watching 1000s of Satellite TV/Radio stations from all around the globe right on your PC? If yes, I've an answer for you. I've purchased a few online TV packages and this is the best site (SatelliteTVtoPC.com) that I recommend for watching more than 3000 quality Satellite TV stations right on your PC with a wide range of selections at the cheapest onetime price.

First of all, you don't need any special/extra hardware or equipment such as TV card or Satellite Receiver to use this service. As soon as signup was done, I got a link to the download site via email to download their software for LIVE broadcasts. I was able to watch worldwide TV stations instantly after installing the software. The picture resolution and sound quality are good. The software is neatly arranged with user-friendly menu options for easy navigation. It provides thousands of TV (3000+) stations and as well as major Radio stations from around the globe.

For instance, if you want to watch LIVE Game broadcasts, you don't need expensive Satellite or Pay-Per-View service anymore. You can watch all of them including their local commercials for FREE in your PC, which we think is the greatest feature. None of the channels are pre-recorded and all of them are LIVE stream videos from the fastest servers in their network. If you're a great Jazz fan, you got all Jazz Radio stations around the world including major US Jazz stations in one place.

The TV/Radio channels are arranged by country names and selecting a specific country's TV stations is very straightforward. I like the stations especially from UK, Canada, Australia, and of course US channels including News, Shopping, Sports, Weather, Movies, Music & much more. If you're a world traveler don't want to miss your home favorite channels, this is the best software for you. All you need is your Laptop, this software and of course internet connection.

Satellite Television: Offering BabyFirst TV

Dish Network Satellite TV is known for its huge programming selection. From over 32 high definition selections, movie channels, family oriented packages, and news programming to Sirius Satellite radio stations, sports packages, gaming, and much more the options are vast. In the past several months Dish Network has also added new programming options that are equally exciting to certain niche audiences. One option that will be of interest to new parents is BabyFirst TV.

BabyFirst TV is actually the first channel in the United States that is directed specifically toward babies, ages 6 months to 3 years of age, and their parents. The interactive and educational programs provide parents opportunities to engage their young children in learning activities for math, language, sensory, and social skills. The 24/7 commercial free programming offered, actively engages younger children during the daytime and provides more soothing experiences at nighttime. Programming content categories include Thinking Journey, Language Playground, Imagination Lane, Feelings Garden, Numbers Parade, Sensory Wonderland, and Rainbow Dreams. Approximately 80% of the programming is original content and includes shows such as "Brainy Baby", "First Impressions", and "So Smart!" in addition to "Story Time" which features adaptations of many children's books from Sterling Publishers.

In addition to child focused shows, many offerings include programming useful for parents. These 15 minute segments provide information about parenting children in the early stages of development. Longer, on demand offerings are also available to provide advice and tips as well and include shows such as "Baby Basics", "Family Wellness", and "Baby Diaries". Although all programming is in English, BabyFirst TV plans to offer programming in other languages, such as Spanish, in the near future.

BabyFirst TV offers incomparable learning and entertainment value for very young children and their parents. In addition, the programming comes at an affordable price. At $9.99 per month, this full time programming costs no more than the purchase of a single DVD for a child each month. Dish Network Satellite TV now offers BabyFirst TV as an ala carte option to allow parents the greatest flexibility in getting the programming they prefer.

Satellite TV consumer guides: Must know facts for Dish and DirecTV shoppers

Satellite TV services are less expensive, provide better picture quality (digital signal) and give more programming choices to their users. It is no wonder that more than 20 millions subscribed to satellite TV services nowadays.

If you are one of those that still looking for the right satellite TV deals, it’s a good time for you to consider satellite TV services now as both satellite TV providers are fighting hard to win market shares. However, before you get into any dish TV deals, we suggest you to get clear of these facts upfront:

Major satellite TV providers in United States

Dish Network and DirecTV are the two major satellite TV providers; you will be most probably ordering either one of their services. DirecTV was the first satellite TV broadcast to be launched in United States. They started their services since 1994. 3 years later in year 1997, Dish Network who is owned by Echostar Communication Cooperation started their broadcast.

Free satellite TV deals

There are lots of free satellite TV deals can be found online. However to qualify for those free deals, you must be their first time customers and must be willing to commit to at least one year subscription contracts. Standard free satellite TV deals include free satellite decoders, remote controls, satellite dish, and sometimes DVR and HD systems.

Installations and shipping

Standard installation and shipping are normally free for Dish Network; however most DirecTV retailers charge a small amount of shipping fees.

Get satellite TV services online or offline?

Online order is recommended for satellite TV as most satellite TV online retailers offer the best bargains. Online satellite TV retailers run their business in a much lower operation fees hence their deals are often better than other bricks-and-mortal. Further more, online ordering is easy, instant, and less hassles. Why suffered?

Internet scams

Yes, satellite TV shoppers beware! There are lots of Internet scams in satellite TV business. To avoid those Internet scams when ordering satellite TV services, only order from official authorized satellite TV retailers. Review online satellite TV dealers here. (http://www.sunsatellites.com/dishnetwork/dealers.html)

Okay, I want to place my rder online, what’s next?

When ordering your satellite TV deals online, you will be required to choose the number of satellite system you wished to receive. Standard online satellite TV deals will offer you up to 4 free satellite systems along with certain incentive gifts like DVD player or home theater systems.

At the time of ordering you will schedule a time that a local professional installer can come to your home and install the system. You do not need to choose your programming packages at the time of order. For example when you are ordering the Dish Network deals, you can always order your Dish Network systems first and decide your programming package later. Instructions for ordering your Dish Network programming will be sent with your systems. You will need to call Dish Network's toll-free number (24/7 all year long) after your installation is completed. A customer service representative will help you activate all the programming you would like.

The satellite system will either be shipped to your home before the installation date or the installer will bring it with them.

DirecTV or Dish Network?

DirecTV or Dish Network system? This is the most frequent asked questions by satellite TV shoppers. Interestingly, both DirecTV and Dish Network offer around the same deals -- both provide more than 200 program channels; offer digital video recording capabilities (DVR for Dish Network, TiVo for DirecTV), high definition TV (HDTV) capabilities, digitalized picture and sound quality and 24-7 on-call customer service.

What differ these two satellite TV providers are pricing and programming. DirecTV’s packages are slightly expensive but they do normally include more sports channels. If you are a football fans, NFL Sunday Tickets offered by DirecTV might be the right choice for you. On the other hand, Dish Network offers more International and movie channels than any other TV broadcasting companies. You get lots of Spanish (Dish Latino) and Chinese channels with Dish Network, thus if you preferred more movie channels, Dish Network is your choice.

Wrapping things up…

For the past few years, we have seen an explosion of people choosing satellite over cable or network TV. It is no doubt that satellite TV is now one of the best options you can have for home TV entertainments. The question is: do you need it? Do you need extra TV entertainment for yourself or your family? Do you spend that much of time in front of your TV watching movies and sports event? The best advice we can give here is that order what you need and get what suit you the best. Do not ever order something extra just because it is free or it is cheap.

Topeka Satellite TV Deals

Rapidly becoming extremely popular in the USA and many other parts of the world is satellite television. If you live in Topeka Kansas, we have compiled some great information about Topeka Satellite TV deals.

A vast majority of consumers prefer satellite television to traditional cable television or over the air broadcast services. Satellite television is more reliable and provides a digital signal therefore offers higher quality, a larger variety of channels, and normally affordable pricing. Another nice feature is the additional services that usually come as part of the subscription package which are normally unavailable through cable television services. Some examples of the extras could be a programming schedule, interactive programming guides, radio channels and Internet access, as well as information about many other programs. This can be all wrapped up as one satellite TV subscription package.

The Dish Network site should be your first stop for Topeka satellite TV services. The first thing to know is that you would receive 100% digital television and radio signals. Secondly, dish network will provide all of the equipment required to convert the signal into a format for a standard television.

The packages by Dish Network for Topeka Satellite TV includes more than 250 channels including all major shows, movies, news and sports channels. Just when you think there couldn't possibly be anything else, you'll discover parental control options are available as well which will make this a preferred provider for households with children.

One more favorite option of many Topeka Satellite TV users is the prerecording option available. This allows you to prerecord a television show or music with no commercials, which will allow you to watch them in a more convenient time frame.

As a final note, some robust promotions are running for new subscribers. One example would be two free high-definition television receivers, free installation for four rooms and a three-month free movie pack.

Another option for Topeka Satellite TV is Direct TV. Direct TV is also a major US satellite television provider. This service also includes many digital satellite channels such as news, movie or special channels. They also provide free installation, equipment and shipping to their new subscribers. As a new subscriber you will also be able to participate in drawings and have the opportunity to win gifts such as home theater DVD systems or video cameras.

Choosing a satellite TV service provider can depend on your budget and TV preferences, although you may find that prices are not that different. It's always a good idea to ask your friends which services they prefer or you can read through some of the online discussions so that you have a better understanding of the pros and cons of both Dish Network and Direct TV satellite television services. Naturally the final decision is yours.

Here are a few basic questions you might want to ask before you make a decision:

Can I see a list of all the channels? Does the plan include local programming? Do I have to choose my programming now? How many receivers will I be able to get? Is there a contract commitment? Can I get a dish if I live in a condo or apartment? What if my homeowners association won't allow satellite dishes? What kind of warranty do I get? Do I need a credit card to order?

Computer Satellite TV

Computer Satellite TV is one of the newest and coolest things that have come out since cable TV in the seventies. I have just tried out an awesome software that brings me over 2000 channels from around the world. This is absolutely incredible. If you would like to check out a site that offers computer satellite tv at a one time only price.

Computer satellite TV allows you to watch all of favorite sporting events. Now you'll never miss a game no matter what. One of the best things about having computer satellite TV is that you only pay a very small one-time fee. You never get charged again. That's a big plus in my book when it comes to computer satellite TV. Just think, for the price of movie tickets for your family could watch over 2000 stations on your PC or laptop forever! More than one million users are already enjoying the incredible variety.

I have saved a lot of money by using computer satellite TV. With the money saved I have bought a computer projector that goes on a 10x12 movie screen. I get all kinds of movie channels free of charge. This allows me to pick and choose what I want to watch and when. computer satellite TV has almost unlimited movies of choice from over 2000 stations.
